MAGHREB: New regional and US science partnerships
North African countries are planning to boost higher education and scientific capacity by establishing a University of the Maghreb and an Academy of Sciences of the Maghreb as well as forging partnerships with the United States.
EGYPT-UK: New international university agreed
Four universities in Egypt and the UK's University of Wales Institute, Cardiff, have agreed to establish an international university - the first higher education and research institution in Egypt to use a public private partnership model in an investment zone.

MTCP International Training Scholarship/Fellowship Awards
The Malaysian Technical Co-operation Programme (MTCP) was launched in 1980 to promote and facilitate technical co-operation amongst developing countries based on the concept of self-reliance. The Programme encourages the exchange of relevant experiences, pooling and sharing of resources and the development of complementary capabilities through:

IDRC Fellowships and Awards
This Fellowship provides assistance to Canadian citizens, permanent residents of Canada, or citizens of a developing country who are currently enrolled full-time in a graduate programme (Master’s, doctoral, post-doctoral) at a recognized university in Canada or in a developing country for the duration of the award period. It helps graduate students with a university degree in agriculture, forestry or biology, who wish to undertake postgraduate, applied, on-farm research with cooperating farmers in a developing country.
UNESCO Fellowships
The fellowships offered under this scheme are of short term duration (6 months maximum) and are intended for specialized training at the postgraduate level. Priority targets are promising and qualified specialists who seek to undertake advanced research or to upgrade their skills and knowledge of state-of-the-art developments in their field of study or work.
